2 rounds for time with a partner of:

Farmers carry and run Rail Trail loop “relay”

Partner 1: Kettlebell farmers carry (53/35 lb) turning right from the gym
Partner 2: Run turning left from the gym

When partners meet they switch roles, trading off farmers carry and running and continuing in their original direction to complete their loop back to the gym.

When both partners have returned to the gym, rest exactly 3:00 before beginning round two.

The loop covers Mission Extension, Swift Street, Rail Trail and Natural Bridges Road.

Picnic at the Upper East Field at UCSC

  • When: Sunday, May 28 at 5:00 p.m.

  • Where: Upper East Field at USCS - Check your May Newsletter for screenshot

    • If you park in the East Remote lot, go up the path that leads to the field, then turn right and walk all the way to the right edge of the field. This has the best view and usually no soccer games going on here. 

  • Parking: Park in the East Remote lot (there's always plenty of parking). Parking is free on the weekends.

  • More info: Bring a blanket or chair to sit on, dinner, a drink if you want one, and plenty of layers (it can get cold up there!). The field is huge so bring field activities if you'd like!
