When teaching movements we try to use progressions.  By breaking down movements into smaller pieces it often becomes easier to put the whole thing together. It also gives us a perfect place to scale movements back to for the daily workout. Understanding the parts of the whole can also tell us where we have problems and then give the pieces to focus on more specifically.
