Recongnition
Within a span of a week our box has gone from, an empty wharehouse, to an amazing training facility. These improvements were not made by one person, but a vary dedicated few. CrossFit Santa Cruz owes Lief, Scott, Kristy, Matt B, and our own "Mom" Carole a debt of gratitude for all they have done. Thank You for your support.
Now that the box is ready for a test run, it's time to get on the boards. We have many "Open" spaces on our boards which means, to get your name on up, all you have to do in complete the workout as Rx'd. If there is not "Open" spaces then you must beat someones time to get your name up. Mike Burgener is coming now may be a good time to find our max efforts for some of the lifts.

The new gym looks incredible and will get even better! Great job everyone! :)
And thank you for a great workout last night, Hannah! I enjoyed the deadlift, hang power clean, front squat, and push jerk workout. I hated the front squats--but it is always useful to work my weaknesses. It was a fun night with our regular Tuesday night crew!

Pooh,
Great to hear you are still training. I am sure your legs will get strong while you heal your wrist.
Maybe at the 2009 CrossFit Games you might get a chance to come visit us.
Keep up the great work
Kristy,
Thank you for all your hard work on making the new box look so good.

:) It was definitely a team effort!
Pooh,
My husband Scott has a wrist injury right now too. I will ask him to post about what he is doing to allow his wrist to heal while still working out. Unfortunately, many CrossFit exercises use your wrist, so one-handed alternatives and leg-focused exercises are best. Keep strong and stay determined! I am sure you will heal quickly!
