Straight and Narrow

Dsc05636

In the photo above both athletes have maintained a neutral head position. Diana push pressing from behind the neck and Annie overhead squatting. Why is it important to keep the neck straight?

guess it's 'bout time I fessed up... I dropped out of the Burpee Challenge somewhere "round the mid 50's. After all of my talk about how good it was for me, one day it just got to be too much; I couldn't discipline myself to break them up throughout the day. Nonetheless, I've learned something; I need to learn to pace myself. This lesson keeps coming around. I tend to try to haul ass and then peter out lose lots of time catching my breath. This happens for me with lots of the workouts. My pushups were getting really nice (quality-wise as well as quantity-wise) until I dropped out. Now I'm good for a lot less but my at least my form is better. Ah, live and learn.
