Twisted Love

Amy and Hannah dipping during Thursday's WOD.

Working the full range of motion on the ring-dip is always exhausting. No matter how long you have been able to do a ring-dip, there is at least one workout where there is no more push left in your arms, and you have to shake it out before trying again. For those of us who still have difficulty with ring-dips, jumping to support and working the negative can be just as challenging. And that, of course, is one of the twisted reasons we love CrossFit; no matter your level, it always pushes you to the brink of your ability and therefore makes you stronger in the process!

Workout:
60-40-20:
Double Under
Box Jump
Squat

andrew and i just did high altitude training at even higher altitude by running up sections of the road on the way up to the local ski hill. we are in SO much better shape than we were the last times we've done this, but it still kicked our asses. lack of oxygen is a trip. =) then we did our burpees and attempted to do pull ups (of various forms) on the crossbar of a soccer goal. it's a very thick bar so it really makes you work for your grip. we'll get there...anything to challenge ourselves. yay! hope all is well in the Cruz. miss you guys!

Geez Angel, I get sore just listening to you talk about your workouts. Where in the world do you get the mental stamina?

Angel and Andrew, thinking about you two training by yourselves out there is inspiring! Keep it up!
