Our Team

Patrick has positioned himself in 4th place after the first day of the

ear while getting the bar overhead

and making sure to contact the bar with his chest.

Kristy proved to everyone she has what it takes

Kristy, Scott and Patrick! You guys rock! What fun watching you all! Brendan G. was giving me the motivational speech about working hard and considering competing next year. Yeek! Easy for Brendan to say but I have to say it does sound enticing. We'll see. Volunteering was a blast in and of itself.

Keep up the great work guys. You are making us all proud.

I am so proud of our three competitors. Scott, Kristy, and Pat were awesome! The event was great. Pat maintaining his position in the "big boy" dominating final event is a testiment to his incredible fitness and athletisism. I am floored by his performance and yet we all knew he was pretty darn good.
Scott's technique and work capasity in all four events was incredible. Those pictures show it all, he was amaizing.
But my favorite moment of the whole event was Kristy on the run....I cried I was so proud as she came running down the hill...she was so beautiful.
Great Job all....I am sad more of us didn't have the guts you three have.
Next year I think we could get the cup back...what do you say team?

Oh yea, hollis and heather worked their asses off as well, next year I look forward to being on the other side of things.

Thank you, Danielle, Gloria, Leif, Hollis, Heather, Angel, everyone! You were all the driving force behind us pushing us to succeed and work though the pain to finish strong! Couldn't have competed or finished without you! I found myself in tears watching Scott work so hard and fight for each rep, and at Pat making an incredible attempt at the final event to triumph over the big dogs. They were incredible!

And the other moments there were just amazing: seeing that little 14 year old gymnast screaming through her final reps after falling and in tears. She brought the whole group into tears with her perseverance and unbelievable feat to squat clean and jerk her own bodyweight. Seeing the NFL athlete on the final event was like watching a giant--he lifted that weight like it was nothing. Watching Pat smoke half of his competition on the final loop of the run was breathtaking. There are just so many moments and so many unbelievable competitors...

We had a blast. I have never been so exhausted! I feel like this is what Crossfit is all about--not just making us fit, but making each of us into a potential competitor. It isn't about winning; it is about playing the game and putting all of your heart and body into it, and coming out a winner no matter the place. :)

Way to go Pat and Scott--you two make me so proud and honored to work out beside you both! Congratulations!

Congrats to Patrick for his 4th place finish (the man to watch next year!) Also, great job to Kristy and Scott and everyone else from CFSC who participated in the Games. You make all of us Santa Cruz County Crossfitters proud!!!

Pat earned the title of MANIMAL!!!!! I'm proud of you, my friend!

Angel,

Thanks so much for all your help this weekend.

-Boz

to everyone who cheered me on thank you soo much i could not have done nearly as well without all of your support. I had the time of my life this weekend and it was all because of the friends i had with me. Once again i thank you and cant wait till next year!!!
Pat

PS you all should have seen Scott and Kristy they friggen rocked it!!! the workouts they did were unbelievable they are two very inspiring people and if we all look to there performances as role models than i think we will all be better off. Good work scott and kristy!!

Pat, Kristy and Scott, Sorry I couldn't be there more this weekend to support and cheer you on. But, it sounds like you all did amazing work and I am so proud of you for going out there and kicking ass! It was great to see you all back in the gym today (Tues) after such a killer weekend!

The funny thing about that pic of Pat doing the run is that I'm ahead of him, out of frame, but he scampered past me up the last hill like a frickin' jack rabbit!
