Big Congratulations to Pat. After two days of
intense competition Pat proved himself to be an
outstanding athlete, along the likes of Dutch Lowy,
James Fitzgerald, Josh Everett, and Chris Spealler.
The final results are here.
The training for the CrossFit Games 2009 starts today,
with some well deserved rest.

I DID see Kristy and Scott and they hauled it! Between them and that Kalista chick I saw enough heart to keep me coming to CF for years!

Pat you are awesome. Watching you go for it all was truly an amazing and inspiring sight. Seeing you fly down that hill passing people left and right and pull ahead of some people who started the c&j ahead of you was incredible. You should be damn proud of what you have accomplished.
Kristy and I had an absolute blast. Every workout was both mentally and physically exhausting, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Thank all of you for your cheers and support over the weekend. We never could have done it without you.
I think I'm already feeling the rumblings of desire to compete next year. :)

What an amazing event this weekend. I was so proud to be a part of CrossFit Santa Cruz and watch Pat, Scott and Kristy go for it with phenomenal intensity. The amount of heart and determination I saw in all three of you was truly awe inspiring. The integrity in your range of motion made me incredibly proud. We now have three champions at our gym. You three have set the standard for all of us to follow - guts, attitude and determination.

Thank you again everyone! And congrats to Pat for such an amazing performance! It kills me to see you get ranked 4th, but you truly triumphed regardless the rank. And to everyone at the gym: if we can do it, so can you. No excuses next year. Together, we are going to own the games! :)

Pat--so proud of you man!
The times you put up and the way you competed is amazing...
I can't imagine doing those 4 workouts in a 2 day span--remarkable.
Hope to get in a workout with you sometime soon.

Pat - Very nice! Way to represent for Santa Cruz, the birthplace of Crossfit. Scott and Kristy showed a lot of heart. The events were very hard. You both hung in there and competed in each one. Angel, I overheard complements from several of the participants for your intensity and help in the pits. It was great being around you all over the weekend.
