Angel + Andrew
BBQ THURSDAY NIGHT 7:30PM AT Hollis' house (two blocks from the gym)! (location change)
If there were one, Angel would earn the award for "Friendliest Athlete" at CFSC. From the beginning of her CrossFit career she has introduced herself to everyone and anyone at the gym who she has not met. Perhaps she is simply terrified of burpees, but I have a hunch there's a genuine, warm heart that inspires such friendliness.
Angel and Andrew have been such a positive part of our community for the past several months, embracing CrossFit with dedication and enthusiasm. It has been inspiring to watch their progress and benefit from their positive attitudes. Unfortunately for us, the next step in their life journey takes them back to New Mexico where, if there isn't a CrossFit already, I'm sure they'll start one ;)
We'll send them off in style Thursday night (June 26th) with a BBQ at Hollis' house. For directions, email Heather at macmtngirl@gmail.com or be at the gym at 7pm to follow Hollis home.
- 7:30pm
- Potluck... bring something to grill and/or a dish to share with all.
***If you're really busy, just bring yourself. We'll have plenty of food and would rather see you there***
- Come sweaty (after the 6 or 7 pm classes) or not sweaty - you'll still get a hug ;)
- We'll have food scales there so the die hards can weigh and measure - viva la zone challenge!
“Nothing makes the earth seem so spacious as to have friends at a distance; they make the latitudes and longitudes.” Thoreau
We'll miss you A+A!!!!

wow, you guys are so sweet and amazing. thank you for all your love and support since we've started coming to CrossFit. we have found a family in the CrossFit community as a whole and especially at CFSC. we will miss each and every one of you dearly. we will also be sure to take the fun and fiery CFSC attitude back with us to new mexico and continue to seek and instill virtuosity. there are really no words to describe what CrossFit has given me. i truly hope i can be part of giving it to others. anyway, thank you again and know that we won't be away forever. you guys are favorite! =)

Today at Steve's Club we did 52 cards of Dips, Burpees, and Pushups. Dips we did spades, burpees we did diamonds and pushups we did clubs. After the workout I could barely move. But i really like coming to Steve's Club it helps me get in shape and keeps me out of trouble.

Pooh, It sounds like Steve thinks up some creative workouts for you guys. I think combining dips, burpees and pushups would make it hard for me to move too. I'd probably be stuck on the floor in the gym.

Pooh, that is a pretty creative workout. They say diamonds are a girls best friend, but not if they mean burpee's for this girl! That is one of my most hated things to do at CrossFit. I'm sure your muscles will be recovered tomorrow or the next day. Keep up the great work at Steve's Club!

Angel & Andrew,
I keep hoping if I don't think about you leaving it won't happen. Silly, but I don't want to face you guys leaving. Angel, you have been a breath of fresh air since the first 10am class I had the good fortune of meeting you in and I was instantly hooked and still continue to look forward to my "angel fix". I'm sorry to see you guys return to NM but am ever so grateful and forever changed by having had you in Santa Cruz for these precious few months. I know you'll change NM for the better by bringing CF back with you. All the best, Deb

Angel and Andrew...Unfortunately our family will not be able to make it to your farewell BBQ, but we wish you both the best. You have a great base of knowledge and fitness--go spread the word to others!
Love the workout--CFSCC may have to experience this one real soon....

angel and andrew you guys are an inspieration to a guy like me. You both came in not knowing what you were getting your selves into. You were so soft so vulnerable then, but now you are both hard and strong and im not just talking physically. You two are beasts in every sense of the word. Both of you come in ready to learn new things every day! You are willing to work your butts off and do whatever we throw at you. Thank you both for coming to crossfit santa cruz your presence will be missed greatly by all of us staff and students alike. I hope you find another little nich in New Mexico and still come and visit us up here in the homeland whenever possible.

I was very impressed when Angel walked up to me and introduced herself the first time I saw her! If I don't make it over to the BBQ, I want to wish Angel & Andrew the very best! You will be successful wherever you go...
